TEACUP MERRY-GO-ROUND 100 years of the European Modern Ceramic Design from the MoMCA Collection

Royal Copenhagen, Tea set with flower design, ‘Marguerite Service’, 1902-1922/mold design 1899. Mold designed by Arnold Krog.
Since its opening, the Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu has collected modern and contemporary practical ceramic ware connected to the lineage of modern design. This exhibition focuses on the approximately 100-year-period from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century within the museum’s collection of European ceramic, primarily tea and coffee ware, as well as interior decorative items. Please enjoy the masterpieces from the renowned manufacturers such as Meissen (Germany), Sèvres (France), Minton (England), Royal Copenhagen (Denmark) and Arabia (Finland).
