Room B Collection Highlights
Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu’s collection encompasses a diverse range of ceramics, from unique studio pieces to handmade functional wares and industrial tableware from renowned kilns. The Collection Highlights showcases the core of our acquisition policy through a selection of masterpieces and significant works.
In this edition, in conjunction with our special exhibition, we feature pieces associated with Denmark and Sweden along with works by modern and contemporary ceramic artists from Japan and abroad, spanning from the early 20th century to the 2000s. We invite you to explore the diverse movements and interconnections that define the evolution of ceramic art.

Room D Exhibition of the New Acquisitions in 2025 I
This exhibition introduces selected works newly acquired during the previous fiscal year, presented in two phases. In FY2025, our collection was significantly enriched with works by Bizen-based artists. In this first part, we feature a special selection of vessels and sculptural works by these artists, alongside with our exisiting collection.
